My sister has a giant spoon and fork on her wall…

and i covet them.

but i think she would notice if i stole them.

so i thought i would recreate them with vinyl…I got a sheet of 12x 24 white. (you could buy the roll of vinyl which in cheaper if it’s a color you use alot (i’m getting one in black and white) and with that roll you could literally could make like a five foot one…which is kinda fun!

but when i sat down to do it…i couldn’t figure out where to stick them.

and then  i found this picture..

and i had this plate rack on my wall…so i readjusted my plan and decided to make some on plates….

and the after:

(please ignore the awful culligan…if i didn’t love cold cold water it would be long gone!)

(i started by painting the plates with spray paint)

then i found some free clip art of kitchen utensils and used the trace feature (you can go here if you need a how to)

since they were so big i would just select one at a time…

the only tricky part was the fork …the high pass filter fixed it!

i thought about doing a whisk (which still might come to pass….) just remember to select trace and not just the outer edge…

I decided to add a quote in the middle instead of a whisk….so i just created it…

then cut! remember cutting with vinyl you don’t want to cut it all the way through. just the top layer…

then you peel off the negative space

and use transfer tape to stick it right where you want it..

and rub and peel…

and you could save the negative space and use it for a utensil holder…nothing wasted!!!!!

(this was on groopdealz…and i can’t find the company that made these! if you know let me know and i’ll link it up!)
